Arrive in Luxor and arrange your own transfer to the hotel. Enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure before the eclipse day. Overnight in Luxor.

Begin your Luxor tour with a visit to Luxor Temple, built by Pharaohs Amenhotep III and Ramses II. The temple was a key site for festivals, including the Opet Festival, which aimed to merge the ruler’s human and divine aspects. Luxor Temple was dedicated to Amun-Ra, whose marriage to Mut was celebrated annually during the festival.
Next, visit Karnak Temple, the largest temple complex ever built by man, representing the combined efforts of generations of ancient builders. Karnak is made up of three main temples dedicated to Amun, Mut, and Montu, and is situated on 247 acres of land. Originally known as Ipet-Isut, meaning “The Most Sacred of Places,” it took over 1,300 years to complete.
Return to the hotel after the tour. Overnight in Luxor.

Today, you have the option to choose between two exciting optional activities. You may participate in both, or select only one of the tours. Here are your options:
Option 1:
Experience an adventure in the early morning with a breathtaking hot air balloon ride over Luxor for 45 minutes. Float over some of the world’s most significant archaeological sites, including the Valley of the Kings and Queens, as well as iconic historic monuments. During the flight, you will enjoy stunning views of the sprawling Karnak and Luxor Temples, as well as the lush Nile Delta and surrounding farmlands. Refreshments will be provided during the flight.
Option 2:
Your personal Egyptologist tour guide will pick you up from your hotel in Luxor and take you in an air-conditioned minibus to the Dendera Temple, which is dedicated to the Goddess Hathor—depicted as a cow-headed woman and known as the Goddess of Love. This temple dates back to 125 B.C. and is unique for its intact roof, where you can admire beautiful ceiling art depicting the hours of the day and night, as well as the journey of the sun, moon, and stars across the sky. One of the ceilings also features plaster casts of the signs of the zodiac. Additionally, this temple is home to the only known relief of Queen Cleopatra and her son, Caesarian.
Afterward, continue to Abydos, the ancient city dedicated to the God Osiris, the God of the Underworld, where part of his body was said to have been buried according to Egyptian legend. In Abydos, you will visit the famous Temple of King Seti I, the founder of the Abydos Temple, which was completed by his son, King Ramses II. The beauty of this temple is almost an offering to the Gods: Osiris, Isis, Horus, Amun Ra, Mut, and Khonsu. After your visit, you will return to Luxor.

After breakfast , take a short trip to Eclipse Center. We will be positioned exactly on the centerline of the longest total solar eclipse of the century. We have already reserved three exclusive viewing spots specifically for Eclipse Traveler passengers. Detailed location information will be shared during the welcome meeting at the Hilton Luxor Hotel by our Astronomers.

After Eclipse transfer to our Hotel , This evening there will a celebration of longest Eclipse of century. Overnight in Luxor.

Drive to the Giza Plateau, home of Egypt’s signature attractions: the Great Pyramids. The largest of these, the Great Pyramid of Cheops, is over 2,600 years old and stands 480 feet tall. It is the last remaining of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.
You will also visit the Sphinx (Abu al-Hol), carved from limestone.
After lunch, proceed to Memphis, founded around 3,100 BC, which was the legendary city of Menes, the king who united Upper and Lower Egypt.
Continue to Sakkara, part of the Memphis necropolis, which includes tombs of the 1st and 2nd Dynasty pharaohs. The site is home to significant discoveries, including the tomb of a prime minister and the pyramid of a queen.

Start with a visit to the Egyptian Museum, where you’ll view the glittering treasures of King Tutankhamun, including over 1,700 items, many of them made of gold. You can also visit the Royal Mummies Room for an additional fee.
After lunch, visit Old Cairo to explore its early religious monuments. You’ll visit El Muallaqa Church, built atop the Fortress of Babylon, and the Ben Ezra Synagogue, which houses a Jewish Heritage Library with documents describing the lives of Jews under Arab rule.

Enjoy a day trip to Alexandria with an English-speaking Egyptologist. Visit the National Museum, which showcases over 1,800 artifacts from the Pharaonic, Roman, Coptic, Islamic, and modern eras.
Next, visit the Catacombs, an ancient burial site, and then proceed to the Roman Amphitheatre, built between the 2nd and 4th centuries AD. This is the only known Roman theater still standing in Egypt.
After lunch, head to the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, the modern library of Alexandria, which is near the site of the ancient library.
Also, see the Fort of Qaitbay from the outside. Built in 1480, the fort occupies the site of the ancient Lighthouse of Alexandria, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.
Return to Cairo.
Overnight in Cairo.

Start with a walking tour of the Khan el-Khalili Bazaar, the world’s largest 13th-century covered oriental market. Watch artisans at work and shop for gold, copper, leather, and woodwork inlaid with camel bone and mother-of-pearl.
Next, visit the Citadel of Mohamed Ali (also known as the Fortress of Salah al-Din al-Ayyubi), built in 1183. The citadel overlooks Cairo and includes the Alabaster Mosque, renowned for its stunning mosaics and domed interior.
Return to your hotel by noon and enjoy the afternoon at leisure.
