Day 1 — Monday, May 20, 2030Arrival in Istanbul (D)

You arrive in Istanbul and are welcomed with VIP airport assistance before transferring to your palace hotel on the Bosphorus. Enjoy an evening welcome dinner, orientation, and introductions.

Tuesday, May 21, 2030Ottoman & Byzantine Istanbul (B,L)

The day begins at the magnificent Hagia Sophia, followed by the exquisitely tiled Blue Mosque. At the Hippodrome, you encounter ancient monuments including the Serpent Column and Egyptian Obelisk. Beneath the city lies the enchanting Basilica Cistern, supported by a forest of marble pillars. You continue to the lavish Topkapı Palace, home of Ottoman sultans, and end your day wandering the legendary Grand Bazaar.

Day 3 — Wednesday, May 22, 2030 Bosphorus Cruise & Modern Istanbul; Fly to Şanlıurfa (B,D)

You tour the ornate Dolmabahçe Palace, then enjoy a private Bosphorus cruise showcasing palaces and fortresses lining both the European and Asian shores. Stroll the lively streets around Galata Tower and Karaköy before flying to Şanlıurfa for a regional dinner.

Day 4 — Thursday, May 23, 2030 Göbeklitepe: Earth’s Oldest Temple (B,L)

A monumental day at Göbeklitepe, the world’s oldest known temple complex (11,000 years old). You explore monumental enclosures decorated with carved animals and symbolic imagery. If permitted, continue to Karahantepe, another crucial Neolithic site. Visit the world-class Şanlıurfa Archaeology Museum, then the sacred Balıklıgöl, the Pool of Abraham. Afternoon visit Harran.

Day 5 — Friday, May 24, 2030 Mt. Nemrut & the Commagene Kingdom (B,L,D)

Travel to the Mt. Nemrut region, stopping at the Karakuş Tumulus, the Roman Cendere Bridge, and the ancient city of Arsameia. At sunset, ascend Mt. Nemrut, where colossal stone heads of deities guard the royal tomb. The dramatic lighting makes this one of Turkey’s most unforgettable archaeological vistas.

Day 6 — Saturday, May 25, 2030 Scenic Drive to Cappadocia (B,D)

Day 7 — Sunday, May 26, 2030Cappadocia’s Valleys & Underground Cities (B,L)

Your additional Cappadocia day allows deeper exploration. Enjoy a scenic hike through the Rose or Red Valleys, visit Avanos for pottery demonstrations, tour lesser-known cave monasteries, or simply relax at your cave hotel overlooking otherworldly formations.

Day 9 — Tuesday, May 28, 2030Fly to Izmir & Explore Ephesus (B,L)

Fly to Izmir and tour the magnificent ancient city of Ephesus. Highlights include the Celsus Library, the Great Theatre, the Temple of Hadrian, and the beautifully preserved Terrace Houses. You also visit the House of the Virgin Mary before returning to Izmir.

Day 10 — Wednesday, May 29, 2030 ergamon Acropolis → Çanakkale (B,L,D)

Travel to Pergamon, once a major center of ancient civilization. At the Acropolis, explore the Temple of Trajan and the Sanctuary of Athena, then visit the Asclepion, one of history’s earliest healing centers. Continue to Çanakkale for dinner with views of the Dardanelles.

Day 11 — Thursday, May 30, 2030Ancient Troy & Museum (B,L,D)

Explore the storied ruins of Troy, where nine ancient cities rest atop one another. The Troy Museum showcases stunning artifacts, from bronze weaponry to intricate goldwork. Evening lecture on eclipse photography and viewing techniques.

Day 12 — Friday, May 31, 2030Pre-Eclipse Day in Çanakkale (B,D)

Relax along the Dardanelles seaside, complete equipment checks, and enjoy optional museum visits. An astronomer leads a Q&A session before eclipse day.

Day 13 — Saturday, June 1, 2030Annular Solar Eclipse Day ! at Cape Helles – After Annular Eclipse Drive Istanbul (B,L,D)

Travel early to Cape Helles on the Gallipoli Peninsula, chosen for its open southern horizon and ideal eclipse alignment. Witness the spectacular annular solar eclipse, then return to our hotel check out and drive from Çanakkale to Istanbul, enjoying scenic views across the Marmara region. Payment Schedule:

  • First booking deposit: $2,500 per person is due at the time of booking along with a complete Booking Form.
  • Second payment deposit is due April 10,2027
  • Final Payment is due by May 14, 2029

 

Final Payment Policy

If the final payment is not received within 7 days of the due date, Eclipse Traveler reserves the right to cancel your booking without any refund of payments already made.
Final payments must be made exclusively via bank transfer — credit cards and checks are not accepted for final balances.

 

Payment Methods:

  • You can pay with any major credit card; however, an additional 4% transaction feewill apply for credit card payments.
  • To avoid these fees, you are welcome to make your payment via bank wire transfer. For bank details, please contact your booking agent—they will be happy to assist you.

Cancellation Terms:

Cancellations must be in writing by email, fax, or mail. Cancellation Penalties are as follows:

  • Booking date – May 15, 2025: no penalty
  • May 15, 2025 to September 2, 2025: %50 penalty
  • September 4, 2025 –Trip date: 100% penalty

Trip cancellation, health, and accident insurance are recommended but not required. It can save you money if you are forced to cancel or alter your trip.   1. Itinerary Changes:
    The itinerary is subject to change due to alterations in local flight schedules, weather conditions, or other meteorological factors that may affect the visibility of the eclipse. Viewing a solar eclipse is inherently weather-dependent. In the event of unfavorable weather, Eclipse Traveler reserves the right to change the itinerary, re-route, or cancel the tour, while offering suitable alternatives to guests in a timely manner.
  2. Flight Bookings:
    We strongly advise all guests not to book or purchase international flight tickets without first consulting Eclipse Traveler staff, to avoid conflicts with potential itinerary changes.
  3. Tour Pricing:
    Eclipse Traveler reserves the right to increase pricing for upcoming Total Solar Eclipse tours if local partners at any destination raise their rates. Additionally, if local carriers impose new surcharges, it may impact the final cost of the tour.
